Álvarez, Andrés Antonio
The coast of Sucre state, Venezuela is the first artistic framework of this
naive artist born in 1939 in the town of Los Altos de Cumana. This artist discovers in molding clay dolls and making
his potential while performing other offices in Caracas. The opening of a collective exhibition in the organization
where he works called him to form rows in the art, and takes the Honorable Mention in the "First Hall of the Police

Armas, Enrico
This artist was born in Caracas in 1957. He was formed in the french and

Barreto, Luis

Bassim, Francisco Javier (Goma)
After exhibiting his art in numerous solo and group exhibitions in his
country: Venezuela, Goma, born in Venezuela in 1964, takes his art to the United States, Argentina, Italy and Paris.
His "gomeros" are universal characters that acquire caricature art forms in its interpretation, such as Las Meninas

Becerra, Milton
Stones, seeds, natural fiber yarns, feathers give support to the work of
this artist who explores the sense of identity, with a poetic turn of exaltation nature. Becerra was born in Tachira
in 1951, he trained at the School of Visual Arts "Cristobal Rojas", he worked in the workshops of master Carlos Cruz

Benaím, Ricardo

Berman, Marietta
From the world of advertising and design this painter and engraver emerges.
Born in Prague in 1917 and incorporated into the Venezuelan plastic to mid-fifties. Participates in the "Official

Bernardes, Daro
This painter born in Mirasol, state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1946 reveals a

Bogarín, Rafael

Orleans, Louisiana, with the MFA and Engraving in 1960. His strong academic background will feed their experiences
of teaching at universities in their country and their experiences in their sabbaticals that lead him to form
workshops and publishing on Italy, France and Germany. Without stopping the formation of their students and the
direction of cultural programs for graduates in the specialty, Bornhuetter exhibits his drawings, paintings and
lithographs on collective and individual museums and salons in the United States and around the world. For the
artist, his code of life is dictated art school when he asked to be aware of contemporary events and find their

Burle Marx, Roberto
Architect. Born in San Paulo, Brazil in 1909 and died in Rio de Janeiro in
1994. A family trip to Europe in 1928 will ultimately define the future of the artist, it notes the boom of

Capecchi, Blanca
This Venezuelan, born in 1951 receives painting classes from teachers Ernst
Pascual and Navarro Flugel. Then he makes the Neumann Institute internship and print shops Simon Rodriguez

Carrasquel, José
Born in Calabozo, Guárico State, Venezuela in 1944. It begins in the art of
his own. In the late fifties he began to receive tutorials and manages to travel later to Paris, Moscow and Rome
where he continued his training. Back in Venezuela founded the "Golden Brush" workshop and "Lyrical Expressionism"
movement. Exhibits at the Library of Barquisimeto Pio Tamayo in 1973 in Caracas, in 1978 goes to the Montez-Lugo
Gallery and the same year presented its proposal in the Gallery of the Chamber of Commerce of Maracay. He has also
taken his work to France, the Biennial of Havana in Cuba in 1984, the Michelena Hall of Valencia, Carabobo state,
the same year as Artemis Expo in New York in 1985. Among his awards Painting Prize is de la Ville Vitro Sur Seine in
Paris, France in 1983.
Carvallo, Feliciano
His dreams and visions of man of the people go directly to the fabric and
give life to a world of women, children, animals, dense forests with a profusion of colors and meticulous recreation
of his subjects from the forties. Carvallo, considered the first Venezuelan naif painter was born in the village of
Naiguatá in 1920. The Maestro Armando Reveron will provide its first advice on the frame, placing the fabrics, the

Castro, José Joaquín
This Venezuelan photographer born in Caracas in 1930 captures a different
light in each of his works. The urban landscape and even hundreds of times recreated image acquires poetic tones on
your lens. In 1977 he presents his show "Fame and Beauty of Venezuela" in New York. A year later the light filtered
through infrared film and proposals of large format black and white, to become his specialty. Exhibits in the United

Castro, Paulo
Born in the Colombian city of Palmira in Colombia, in 1974 and nationalized
Venezuela. In 1993 he graduated from the School of Visual Arts Christopher Rojas majoring in pure art and continues
to study anthropology at the Central University of Venezuela. His work, which he calls "pictorial archeology"

Cortesi, Renato
Venezuelan born in Brescia, Italy. Is formed at the School of Plastic Arts
Cristobal Rojas, workshops Vasquez Brito, Guevara Moreno, Regulo Perez and Oswaldo Subero and engraving, silkscreen
and woodcut at the Simon Bolivar University. Cortesi recreates mythology techniques using light degradation, giving
dimensional atmospheres. Its characteristic language gets space in solo shows at the Gallery The Wall in 1982, Seven
Seven Gallery in 1983, both in Caracas and in the Orinoco Cultural Foundation of Puerto Ordaz in 1987. Cortesi also
goes to the International Biennial of Contemporary Art Florence, Italy, in 1999, Jacono Borges Museum in Caracas in
1998 and the Biennial of Paintings from the Museum of Fine Arts in Tapei in Taiwan, Republic of China in 1994. It
also has representation in the Art Museum of the Americas in 1994 Moscoso and the Gallery in 1966, both in
Washington DC.
Dávila, José Antonio
Born in New York in 1935. In 1948 he joined the School of Fine and Applied
Arts of Caracas and leaves to follow the lessons of the Free Art Workshop, later goes to Martin Tovar y Tovar de
Barquisimeto School. Participates in the XII official Salon from 1951 to 1969. In 1970 with other artists the group
Davila 70. Presence develops figurative proposal, in which man is subject to the pressures of their environment.

De Faria, Ghilherme
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1942. His career began in the late fifties and
later became one of the most appreciated artists recorded worldwide with more than 200 thousand works sold. The work
of the artist has been exhibited in Italy, Paraguay, Canada, Buenos Aires and Germany, among other countries. De
Faria began his career by participating in the First Youth Drawing Exhibition, sponsored by the Museum of
Contemporary Art at the University of Sao Paulo. This artist and self-taught painter, born in Guimarães, Brazil
grows the figurative current and worked the strong water, oil and posters. Horses, bulls and women are part of the

De Rugama, Manuel

Figueroa, Natividad

Born in Bogota, Colombia, 1947. Being the daughter of an Argentine diplomat,

Gil, Elena
His vocation as a painter receives the teachings of Professor Lucio Rivas
and leads to the Faculty of Architecture of the Central University of Venezuela, where he graduated in 1967. Once

she specializes in watercolor, under the direction of Professor Lynn Wolfe and drawing and anatomy, with Professor

González, Arnaldo
Born in Venezuela in 1960 he received his first art tools in workshops
taught by Pedro Centeno Vallenilla, Regulo Perez Morales Inna Renon and Eleonora and in turn studied at the School

Gorodine, Alexis
This artist born in France in 1944 is recognized internationally. It draws
on engraving workshops Fort de France (Haiti) and later attended the studio of Louis Calevaert-Brun in Paris. Begins

Harding, Rodolfo
It is considered one of the greatest exponents of the Chilean School of
Realism. Rodolfo Harding was born in Santiago de Chile. Work in the mid-sixties as assistant scene of the National
Ballet of Chile and serves as assistant artist Julio Escamez. The artist is then set to Caracas, where he works and
acquires a gallery. His work ranges from surrealism and hyperrealism and surprised by its originality in the work of
the fabrics and the almost photographic precision you get. Among the many awards include First Prize in the Arts

Herrera, Octavio
This Venezuelan born in 1952 in Campo de Carabobo in Venezuela is formed in
the Rafael Monasteries of Fine Arts of Maracay, in Aragua State, majoring in painting, sculpture and printmaking. He

Heyer, Eifriedde
Born in the state of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela in 1957. Between 1976 and 1981
studies and Jewellery Design Patterns in the Conservatory of Arts Massana in Barcelona, Spain. His works in painting
are exposed in the Catalan Centre of Hispanic Culture in Barcelona, Spain in 1977. Two years later he becomes
entitled Second Jewellery Design Award in the Spanish Gemology Association, Barcelona, Spain. In the eighties,
Eifriedde Heder shows his art in exhibitions in Barcelona, Spain and the Gallery Sheffield Chicago, in the United
States. It also participates in several meetings of relevance in Venezuela, equally developing their skills in
painting, enamel and jewelry.
Hung, Francisco (Chino Hung)
Born in Canton, China, in 1937 and died in Maracaibo in 2001, the city that
gives answers to their vocation in the School of Visual Arts in July Arraga. Complete their education in Paris in
1958 with a grant from the municipality and enrolls in the School of Fine Arts. His solo exhibition "Floating
materials" at the Museum of Fine Arts in 1963 marks a watershed with inimitable style where reigns the dotted line

Inaty, Belén Helena
Born in Caracas in 1955. His artistic training was consolidated in the
sixties and seventies in Naples in the Artistic Lyceum of Rome in the West Surrey College of Art and Design of
Surrey in England and Epson School of Art and Design, also in England. In 1975 participates in a student collective
at West Surrey College of Art & Design in England and four years later exposes individually in the Gallery of
YMCA in Caracas, he participates in the National Exhibition of Young Artists of CANTV, Caracas and at the Biennale
of young Artists of La Guaira, specializing in sculpture. In 1986 he wrote his name in the National Biennial of
Young Artists at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas.

Larisch, Kurt
Kurt Larisch was born in Vienna, Austria in 1913, he came from a family with
three generations dedicated to art. The sculpture workshop of his grandfather and study photography and painting
from his father became his first school. Larish became interested in the field of animated film, advertising and had
to emigrate to England and India to the political instability in Europe. At the same time he continued to work in
painting and participated in several solo exhibitions until it took up residence in the United States and went to

Latorraca, Joaquín
Born in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela. Art School Armando Reveron Ciudad Bolivar

Lima, Eduardo
Born in 1954 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From 1973 to 1977 is influenced teacher
Waldemar da Costa, Brazilian trainer of many contemporary artists with European techniques of 20 and 30. His first
collective exhibition takes place in the Brazil-Japan Cultural Alliance in 1975. The work seeks to represent Lima

López Méndez, Luis Alfredo
Born in 1901 and died in 1996. This lays the foundation of Caracas called

Mabe, Manabú
Born in Japan in 1924 and died in Sao Paulo in 1997. Mabe arrives at ten to
Brazil, accompanied by his family and integrated coffee plantations. Mabe recognize its share in the joys and
sorrows, in war and peace, in the socio-economic imbalances of his time and called "The Samurai of painting". At 22,
he starts painting oil on canvas, fruits and landscapes details of the colony and in 1953 was beginning to worry

Mata, Sergio
Draftsman, painter, sculptor and engraver Brazilian. Born in Sao Paulo in
1948. His early works include medical surgical illustrate publications in the seventies. Then it takes a turn to

Moreno Reverón, Edgar
Study at the School of Visual Arts Christopher Rojas between 1962 and 1964,

Navarrete, Elda
This Venezuelan artist, born in Merida received his first painting lessons

Born in Tucupita in 1944. It is one of the Venezuelan artists

Palacios, Luisa (Nena Palacios)

Pardo, Mercedes
Born in Caracas in 1921 and died in San Antonio de Los Altos, Miranda state
in 2005. "My colors are vital: talk, they fight and sing like people." With that verbal brushstrokes Mercedes Prado
defines his work evolves from informalism to the so-called lyrical abstraction. This artist gets a solid education
in the School of Fine and Applied Arts of Caracas, at the Ecole du Louvre and at the workshop of Andre Lhote in

Pereira, Myrna
Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1952. Taking the path of naive art and
develops large colorful themes. He exhibits his drawings and multiple paintings in solo exhibitions at the Gallery
"Viva Mexico" in Caracas in 1980, 1982 and 1985. Participate solo in the Gallery "L'Atelier" of Guanajuato, and in

Pérez, Régulo
Born in 1929 in Caicara del Orinoco, Bolivar State. He grows painting bars,
designing lottery tickets and other orders of their neighbors. Produces humorous cartoons pages of major Venezuelan
publications. Later, it gives formality to their ingenuity in the School of Plastic Arts of Caracas and is active in
La Barraca de Maripérez and Free Art Workshop. He completed his training in Rome, Paris and in the late fifties was
director of the School of Arts at the University of Los Andes and then deputy director of the School Cristobal

Petrovich, Wlastimir

Born in Caucagua, Edo Miranda, 1928. Marcos Castillo, Luis Alfredo Lopez

Reynas, Hernán
Born in Venezuela in 1953. Reynas he studied painting at the School of

Salazar, Solange

Born in Trujillo, Venezuela in 1946. He makes his first studies in the

Subero, Oswaldo
Born in Caracas in 1934. He is considered one of the most important

Trompiz, Virgilio

l'Ecole des Beaux Arts, in the workshops of lithography and engraving of Marcel Jaudon and Stanley William overcast.
His work includes painting, graphic arts, murals, tapestry, ceramics and sculpture. With more than sixty solo
exhibitions in galleries and museums both in Venezuela and abroad, his works are in private collections around the
world public. In 1990 MACCSI makes a retrospective of his work from 1942 to 1990. Among his awards and honors are
